Personality

Serious. Blood-thirsty. Quick to anger when things don’t go his way. Loyal to a fault. Surprisingly level-headed for being a god. Suffering from unrequited love. Stern. Considered cruel and hasty by Thea.

Background

Cadeyrn is the son of Nechtan and Norene. Born from the salty waters and the cold grasp of death, he's feared by many sailors and often appeased together with his father Nechtan. Cadeyrn has gotten the moniker "the bridge between life and death" by some. He became a god of war on his own merit as he led the struggle between the gods and the dark ones in a long forgotten war. For his strategic mind and prowess in battle he was granted the domain of war from Eógan.

He's revered by soldiers, cavalry and mercenaries. His weapon of choice is the spear. His insignia is shield with an embossed lightning bolt.

His clergy consists of war priests. These men and women use their god granted power to strike down the enemy rather that supporting their own. The colour red and gold is favoured by these but in combat they wear chain mail and plated armour. They use one-handed weapons so they can smite their enemies with their free hand.

Cadeyrn's temples are small and mobile so they can be taken along with ease. But they can also be found more permanently in barracks and forts. They're often sparsely decorated.

Abilities

Cadeyrn has a tactile mind and is a master swordman. Though he prefers the spear for its reach and effectiveness in battle.

As a god he's immortal and omnipotent. However, like most of his pantheon, he lacks the power of being all-knowing. As a god, his powers are divine in nature, outclassing any mortal magic. He prefers the use of lightning and calling upon storms. But causing swords and armour to fight on its own is another power of his, as is inspiring courage and boost morale in soldiers.
